While new to the UK, Fairview International School comes with a rich heritage of providing inspirational learning to pupils for over forty years. We are six schools, over 300 teachers and a body of 3000 students. That’s the Fairview family.

Fairview International School is situated in the beautiful spa town of Bridge of Allan. Positioned perfectly between the historic 12th Century City of Stirling and the sprawling Scottish Highlands, Fairview International School benefits from the bustling, busy city community whilst still keeping in touch with the peace and tranquillity of the nearby Scottish National Parks.

Bridge of Allan is a former spa town at the foot of the Ochil Hills, located just north of Stirling. The town developed as a spa resort in the 19th century when visitors to the Trossachs began to increase. Authors Robert Louis Stevenson and Charles Dickens were regular visitors at the height of the resort’s popularity. The town is easily accessible by road and by rail with direct and indirect services to Stirling, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Inverness, Perth, Dundee and Aberdeen.

Neighbouring Stirling is a city shaped by its unique history, with a lively arts scene and the beauty of a national park close by. This vibrant city is known as the ‘Gateway to the Highlands’. With a population of almost 100,000, the bustling city of Stirling provides a great community for city life, with the tranquillity of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park only 30 minutes away.

As an international school we are focused on delivering an immersive international experience for all our students both in the UK and globally. As such we will be offering boarding facilities at our school from August 2022 for students year 7 and above.

All our students like being with their friends, having time to take part in lots of activities, being part of a community and being able to start their day with their friends at breakfast. Our boarding provision creates a place where pupils develop in confidence and in character, where they broaden their horizons and test their independence within a safe and supported environment.

We operate a completely flexible approach to boarding. Parents may choose to board their children from one night a week to seven. We try to be as accommodating as possible to individual family needs, but do appreciate being given as much notice as possible to any changes in the normal established routine for any individual child. Any day pupil is welcome to take advantage of our flexi board approach for any period of time, if space permits.

At Fairview, we provide a range of learning experiences through our co-curricular activities programme that further enhances our students’ learning experiences alongside our academic curriculum. The rich variety within the program ensures that students have the option to engage in activities in areas such as sport, music, science and nature studies.

Baking club is also hugely popular with our school kitchen facilities being utilised to create delicious treats on a weekly basis! Senior students at Fairview are afforded the opportunity to assume roles of leadership and responsibility within many of the activities as they model our school behaviours and values. All the activities provide opportunities for the students to develop their understanding of a wider cultural awareness and consider concepts from an international perspective. Our co-curricular activities are planned and delivered to further develop our students’ ATL (Approaches to Learning) skills such as critical thinking, creativity and self-management skills.
